Imagic has learned a lot about what makes a
successful project. We know that from your perspective a successful
project has three elements.
- The product works
- It costs what we said it would (fixed prices)
- The project gets finished on time
We've been fortunate to be involved with a variety of
large and small development projects. Our experience ranges from single person
projects to teams of 20 engineers. Software and
hardware developed by imagic is in thousands of locations running, testing,
measuring and controlling every day. We've gained the project experience
necessary to satisfy
those three elements of success.
Our fixed price projects* are managed through a staged development process.
Doing projects in this manner results in an on time and on budget delivery. We quote a fixed fee for the investigation phase and design phase (see design
philosophy for an explanation of the phases). The result of
these efforts is a complete design, a written implementation plan, a budget and a schedule. When this stage is complete
we offer a second fixed price to complete the project. We unabashedly state that
this system works great. When we offer a fixed price we aren't
guessing.
*Though we do most of our projects on a fixed price
basis some of our clients do contract with us on a fee for service
basis.
